Iconic Wagon Wheel Set with 79 Blue Gem Mine Turquoise Inlay

Frank Dishta

About The Iconic Wagon Wheel Set with 79 Blue Gem Mine Turquoise Inlay
Jewelry

Sterling silver ingot was mill rolled and drawn by hand for all the sheet and wire used in fabricating this exquisite pin.

The "wagon wheel" radiant pattern was first cut from a base sheet. Each bezel was soldered to it and each other--forming the desired groupings.  A fine silver wire defines the inner circle of the wheel rim to which its eight spokes are attached.  Another wire ring defines the wheel hub.

This very fine work is beautifully inlaid with 63 round 1/16" diameter and 16 tear drop long Blue Gem mine turquoise stones.  Each is high grade, of intense hue and precision hand cut to fit each bezel, then surface finished flush to bezel depth.

This incredible work is the creation of Frank Dishta, a genius and master of skills necessary to make jewelry commanding universal applause nearly 100 years later.
